On day 4 of voting, America also voted on another important aspect of the wedding (or of the reception at least): signature cocktails.
All three options are something I would LOVE, so I figured I’d share the recipes so my friends and I can recreate them at home later if we’re feeling fancy.
The Grapest Love of All
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary leaves
- 6 black grapes
- Ice
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1 ounce St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur
- 1½ ounces Grey Goose Le Citron
- Garnished with black grapes speared like olives
Directions: In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, place the syrup, rosemary, grapes and muddle well to extract the juice. Add ice and the rest of ingredients. Shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is frosted and beaded with sweat. Double strain the cocktail into coupe glass and garnish.
Marry Me Martini
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce agave nectar or simple syrup
- 4 fresh sage leaves
- 4 slices cucumber
- Ice
- 1½ ounces VeeV Acai Spirit
- 1/2 ounce Canton Ginger Liqueur
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- Garnished with sage leaves and cucumber slices
Directions: In the bottom of a cocktail shaker place the agave nectar, sage and cucumber and muddle thoroughly. Add the ice and the rest of ingredients. Shake vigorously. Double strain the cocktail into a martini glass and garnish.
Honeymoon Sunset
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces Casa Migas Tequila
- 3/4 ounce Cointreau
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
- 1 ounce cherry juice
- 1 ounce pineapple juice
- 4 slices jalapeño
- 1/4 teaspoon dried turmeric
- Ice
- 4 ounces Champagne or sparkling wine
Garnished with a pineapple wedge and cherry
Directions: In a cocktail shaker, place the tequila, Cointreau, simple syrup, cherry juice, pineapple juice, jalapeño slices and turmeric. Add the ice and shake vigorously. Double strain the cocktail into Champagne glasses, then top with the Champagne and garnish.
