Call me basic, but the Kylie Lip Kits are my new obsession. Here’s what I think of Candy K, Posie K, 22 and Literally!
My newfound obsession with the Kylie Lip Kits is so real, you guys. I initially ordered two of the most popular shades, Candy K and Posie K, just to see what all the hype is about, and now I’m up to four orders this summer. Someone send help.
The formula of all of her lip products is so pigmented and so, so long lasting. They go on smooth, don’t dry out your lips, and come in so many amazing shades.
My go-to since I’ve ordered a few has been Candy K, a “warm pinky nude.” I wore this one to the Taste of Randolph, a Chicago food festival in the West Loop, where I ate all the food and drank all the drinks and it seriously lasted the ENTIRE night. It also made it through Lollapalooza without budging (or having to reapply). It stays put through any eating and drinking no problem and lasts longer than any lip product I’ve ever used.
22, a “vibrant burnt orange,” is my other favorite from the line. It’s so hard to find a good orange-red that complements your skin tone, and 22 is a great summer red—definitely not as orange as the description led me to think.
Posie K, a “cool mid-tone berry,” was another one of the first shades I ordered. I haven’t worn this nearly as much as Candy K and it’s quite a bit darker than Koko K, but it’s such a pretty pink that makes more of a statement—great for going out!
Next up: the glosses! I finally ordered one of the glosses, Literally, and I’m ready to order them in every color. Literally is described as a “neutral mid tone nude,” and it’s the most perfect nude I’ve ever found. I recently went to Sephora to look for a good nude gloss and tried on every single one in the store. The girl was ready to kill me, but everything was either too pink, too sparkly or washed me out. Kylie’s Literally was exactly what I was looking for. It’s super creamy (not sticky at ALL), highly pigmented and lasted longer than any of my MAC glosses.
And then Kylie’s Birthday Collection launched this week… so I had to try her latest limited-edition shade: Leo, a “true deep burgundy” that contains REAL GOLD. (Like, why??? But obviously, I couldn’t resist.) This one will be such a cool statement shade for fall, and I’m already thinking about all the fall-inspired outfits I want to pair it with.
I told you this was a problem. BUT, I’ve gotten nearly all of my friends into the Kylie Lip Kits and they’re all now equally as in love as I am. I’m a big fan of the liners, too, but most of my friends prefer to use the matte liquid lipsticks solo. For the darker shades, though, the liner is a must.
Have you tried any of the Kylie Lip Kits? Which one is your favorite?
